The government has estimated that the economic growth rate of the current fiscal year 2070-71 BS would remain 5.2 percent.
The growth rate has surpassed five percent for the first time in six years.
It was only limited to 4.5 percent in the past.
Finance Minister Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat informed this while presenting the economic survey of the past ten months of the current fiscal year at the parliament on Thursday.
He said the growth of the agro sector will be 4.7 percent and non-agriculture sector 6 percent.
Informing about the change of structure of economy, he said the contribution of agriculture and industry in gross domestic product had decreased.
