Etihad Airways will start direct flights from Abu Dhabi, UAE to San Francisco, the USA from November 18 onwards.
Issuing a statement on Thursday, the national airline of the UAE says San Francisco will be linked with its global network daily.
"Flights will be operated to San Francisco International Airport using a three-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft leased from its strategic partner Jet Airways, offering a total of eight seats in First Class, 30 seats in Business Class and 308 seats in Economy Class," Etihad says.
The airline says it plans to start flights to Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on December 3.
In the US, Etihad currently flies to New York twice a day and to Los Angeles (LAX), Chicago (ORD) and Washington, DC (IAD) daily.
