The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased by 15.30 points to settle at 566.68 points on Thursday from Sunday’s 551.38 points, last week.
Over a week, all groups of the sub-indices posted positive growth as hotel group gained highest of 44.28 points, insurance 31.24 points, hydropower 22.50 points, commercial banks 18.43 points, other 14.1. points, manufacturing 12.46 points, finance 5.03 points and development banks 0.62 points.
However, trading group remained unchanged at 169.68 points.
Meanwhile, the transaction amount has dipped by Rs 26.01 percent to Rs 569.09 million last week compared to the previous week’s Rs 682.12 million.
Of the total transactions, ‘A’ category companies alone contributed Rs 187.19 million, which is 36.09 percent.
In terms of highest transactions, Nepal Bangladesh Bank topped the chart registering Rs 59.92 million.
