CPN (UML) senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that a coalition of two largest parties - Nepali Congress and CPN (UML), will bring the third largest party, the UCPN (Maoist) to the right track of politics.
"For this to happen, NC and UML have to join hands. It will naturally bring the Maoists to the right path," said Nepal, speaking at a program in Kathmandu, Friday.
He said that his party has requested the NC to bring a consensus or power sharing package, as it has emerged as the largest party through the elections.
"The mandate of November 19 elections expressed by the people is that the political parties should move ahead united," Nepal said, adding that it is, therefore, necessary to enact a new constitution shortly.
Addressing the same program, NC General Secretary Prakash Man Singh said that his party will soon bring a concrete roadmap of power sharing regarding government formation and other issues.
"Along with the government formation and constitution making processes, we also want to work towards ensuring that the local body elections happen in the next six months," Singh said.
