Minister for Foreign Affairs Mahendra Bahadur Pandey has stressed the need of making students realize that the national sovereignty could be saved only through adept diplomacy, work performance, wisdom and power of understanding.
Addressing the 15th anniversary celebrations of Balkot-based Marigold English School today, Minister Pandey stressed the need of such education which could produce competent human resources. "Students are unknowingly getting involved in misconducts and the family should play an important role to prevent them from going on the wrong way," he added.
On a different note, he said the country was pushed to backwardness as the National Planning Commission failed to introduce and implement long-term development projects in the absence of political stability in the country. He sought seriousness of political parties towards the enforcement of their manifestos which unveiled long-term development projects.
District Education Officer Shankar Gautam, PABSON central president Laxya Bahadur KC, school principal Bhuwanlal Shrestha and director Raju Khadka talked about the importance of education in human life. School founding president Uddhav Silwal chaired the programme.
