Council of ministers installs, transfers 39 joint secretaries

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held at Singha Durbar today installed the 39 joint secretaries, who were recently promoted, to their respective posts and also transferred them.

Likewise, the meeting has assigned Devendra Sitaula, joint secretary at the Ministry of Defense as an officiating secretary of the ministry, said government spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications, Dr Minendra Rijal.

Meanwhile, the meeting has accepted to receive Rs 2.9 billion in foreign aid from the Asian Development Bank under the south Asian Tourism Infrastructure Development programme.

Similarly, the meeting has decided to bear the entire cost of medical treatment of CPN (UML) parliamentary party leader KP Sharma Oli, who is receiving treatment in Bangkok.  

Meanwhile, the meeting has decided to provide Rs 500,000 each to former ministers and Nepali Congress leaders Govinda Raj Joshi and Siddha Raj Ojha for their medical treatment.
