Nepal-India border check points sealed

Eleven border check points of Mahottari district have been sealed from this morning for 48 hours, considering the Loksabha election in India.

The border entry points of Mahottari district adjoining with Sitamadhi district of Bihar State, India, were sealed and high alert has been adopted at the check points in view of security situation during election. The election is going to be held at Sitamadhi district of Bihar State on May 7.

The border entry points were sealed for 48 hours at the call of Indian security body to maintain law and order during the election period, said Officiating Chief District Officer, Krishna Prasad Khanal.

Both the countries have deployed a large number of security personnel at the border check points.
