Nepali Congress Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel has blamed communists and totalitarian forces for creating problems in the country.

Speaking at a by-election campaign in Chitwan-4 on Tuesday, leader Poudel alleged that all types of political deadlocks were created by these forces.

“On the contrary, NC is always working to settle such deadlocks,” he said.

Poudel said the current Constituent Assembly (CA) will certainly promulgate a democratic constitution and NC has a big responsibility in this regard.

Though the different forces are trying to trap his party not to draft a democratic constitution, the party will not deviate from its democratic norms, Poudel said.

On a different note, Poudel claimed that his party seriously understands the problem of landless squatters and farmers, and so the Prime Minister formed a Landless Squatters' Problem Settlement Committee before leaving for his US trip.

On the occasion, NC candidate for the by-election from Chitwan-4, Ram Krishna Ghimire, said his candidacy was for constitution and development and appealed voters to elect him from the constituency.
