NC collects financial assistance for disaster victims, CPN-UML donates Rs 776,000

Nepali Congress is collecting funds for the relief of victims of natural disasters that recently hit the country.

NC urged all of its active members to volunteer open-heartedly for the fund to provide relief for the families affected by the disaster incidents.

Nepali Congress asked its active members to deposit the desired amount at Nepali Congress Flood Victims' Support Central Committee's account number 0135110010075 of Nepal Bank Ltd.

Also, the party has expressed its concern over, and extended support for, the affected people in these times of distress.

Similarly, CPN-UML also provided around eight-million rupees to the victims of Sunkoshi landslide disaster as relief assistance.

Amrit Kumar Bohara, chairman of the party's Central Discipline Committee handed over Rs 776,000 as relief amount to Chief District Officer Gopal Prasad Parajuli at the landslide site in Ramche, Sindhupalchowk.

Handing over the amount, Bohara said that UML will take initiatives to rehabiliae the displaced. We will take this matter to the house, Bohara said.
