The Constitutional-Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee concluded on Tuesday the preamble of a constitution would be finalized only when the constitution itself gets an outline first.

The committee’s meeting today tried to forge consensus on the issues of preamble, national anthem and national emblem to be incorporated in the new constitution, says the Committee’s Secretary Mukunda Sharma.

Most of the lawmakers in the meeting pointed out the need to seek consensus from the concerned committees for the national emblem and national anthem by respecting the dignity of the nation.

The Committee is scheduled to meet next on August 29.
