The Lions Club of Sindrol, Shantinagar, have distributed food materials to the elderly people taking shelter in the Nisahaya Sewa Sadan, on Wednesday.
As many as 43 elderly people are taking shelter in the old-age home. Social worker Udaya Lal Shrestha had commissioned its construction and the old-age home came into operation in 1985.
Chairperson of the Club, Asika Giri Shrestha, Vice-chairperson Karisma Shrestha, and other officials handed over rice, pulses, sugar, oil, biscuits to Sagun Shah, Chairperson of the Old-age Home. Shah appreciated the team for support and also appealed them to manage some warm clothes for the elderly.
Chairperson of the Club Shrestha said that the club has been carrying out social service activities like collecting donation from people and organizations as per its social responsibility. She assured of providing warm clothes to the elderly people in the near future.
