CIAA suggests merger of over 40 pc Saptari schools

A team of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has recommended that over 40 per cent of schools in Saptari district should be merged.

The team led by CIAA Senior Superintendent of Police Yogeshwar Romkhami came to this conclusion after conducting a monitoring of various schools in the district.

Talking to media persons in Rajbiraj this morning, Romkhami said that the team was divided into smaller teams of four persons for conducting the monitoring and these teams came up with the conclusion that more than 40 per cent schools in the district needed to be merged.

He said in course of the monitoring they found that there were sometimes up to four schools in 10 minutes of walking distance.
