Korean company supports drinking water project in Kaski

More than 300 households in Kaski district have become free of drinking water problem after getting support from a South Korean company.

The South Korean company, Kangwon Land Co. Ltd., provided the financial support for drinking water facility to the denizens of ward number 7 and 8 of Bharatpokhari VDC.

Former minister Ganesh Shah inaugurated the project amid a program organized at the project site.

Shah appreciated the assistance of Korean company and stressed that similar regular assistance are needed in other places as well in the coming days.

Before this facility was available, local people had to walk at least one hour to fetch drinking water.

The company also distributed the solar light system to 200 households to help students in their studies.

The company is also operating a Nepal Hi1l Hope Village Project through the Global Peace Foundation for attaining better livelihoods in the rural areas.
