Solar energy to run computer education classes in Rukum

The higher secondary school here has begun using solar energy to run computer education classes in the school.

The Shital higher secondary school in Chaurjahari of Bijayaswari VDC had invested Rs. 2 million to install solar energy system after suffering due lack of irregular power supply.

A 4 KW capacity solar system has been installed while 25 computers have been purchased for the purpose, said head teacher of the school Ganesh Prasad Rijal.

The higher secondary school is the only school in the district that provides overseer level education.

As a result, installation of regular power supply and computers have help run technical education in the school, said Rijal. RSS
