Police have arrested four Indian nationals with 18 kg of hashish from Jitpur of Bara district on Tuesday.
The four detained have been identified as Jairam Mukhiya, 45, Ram Ayodhya Mukhiya, 41, Birendra Mukhiya, 40 and Wasar Mukhiya, 40. All of them were the permanent residents of Piparthana in Motihari district of Bihar, India.
They were arrested while transporting the contraband abusive substance from Chorni of Parsa district to Jitpur, according to Arun Kumar Kuswaha, a police officer at Jitpur area police station.
During their statement to the police, all four have claimed that they were just the porters and not the suppliers or dealers. Police is investigating the matter.
