A six-year-old panda brought from Ramechap is available for public viewing from Wednesday onward, according to Chief of the Zoo Sarita Gyawali.

This is the first time in 26 years that visitors to the Zoo would be able to witness the endangered red panda. It was way back in 1989 when panda was a member of the central zoo family.

A red panda usually lives for 10 to 11 years and is an inhabitant of the mountain region.

Therefore, air condition facility has been installed for the newest arrival at the Zoo, according to Gyawali.
