The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has urged the government to implement the directives it has issued to the government in letter and spirit to make the society corruption-free.
The commission on Thursday wrote a letter to the Chief Secretary of the Government Leela Mani Poudyal and to the Council of Ministers and urged the government for immediate implementation of its directions.
CIAA spokesperson Shreedhar Sapkota said that the commission has urged the government for the immediate implementation of the directives issued by the commission at different times aimed at building a corruption-free society.
There will be negative impact unless the government implements commission's directions; therefore, it should be implemented soon, Sapkota added.
In its letter, the commission has urged the government for promptly implementing its directives by taking action against banks, financial bodies, people and bodies found guilty of committing corruption.
