A total of 250 additional Nepal Army personnel have left for South Sudan to take part in a Peace Keeping Mission.
Earlier, a contingent of 250 Army personnel had gone to Sudan on July 20 for the same purpose, Nepal Army Public Relations Directorate said.
The 250 NA personnel, who left on Monday night, will be deputed to provide security to the citizens of South Sudan, the Directorate added.
As many as 4,342 NA personnel are in different peace keeping missions right now. Of them 86 are women.
Similarly, 103,733 army personnel have participated in different peace keeping missions around the world at the call of the UN. Nepal is ranked 5th among the peace keeping contributing nations in the world.
