Nepal has crashed out of the AFC U-19 Championship Group ‘A’ Qualifiers as it has been defeated by Uzbekistan 5-0 in its third match held at the Al Arabi stadium in Doha, Qatar on Tuesday.
Uzbekistan’s Shomurodov Eldor secured a hat-trick while Normurodov and Davlatov scored a goal each to secure victory.
This is the third straight defeat for Nepal, after being defeated by Turkmenistan 2-1 on Friday and India 1-0 on Sunday.
Nepal was under pressure from the very beginning against the strong Uzbekistan. Nepal was 2-0 down in the first half while Uzbekistan added three goals in the second half. Nepal was also reduced to 10 man as Biswas Shrestha was red carded in the second half.
Nevertheless, Nepal will take on Qatar in its last match on Thursday.
Qatar is at the top of the chart in Group ‘A’ with 6 points, followed by Uzbekistan 6 points, India 3 points and Turkmenistan 3 points. Nepal is at the bottom of the table without a point.
