Wrestler Satyendra Yadav left for Iran on Tuesday to participate in the First Wrestling Championship World Cup that began in Loresthan, Iran from October 29. The championship will conclude on November 2.
Wrestler Yadav, a silver medalist in the 11th South Asian Games, will compete in the 90 kg and above weight category. President of Nepal Jorkhane Sports Association, Karna Bahadur Shahi, is joining him as an official from Nepal.
The championship will have the participation from 31 countries, according to the press statement issued by National Sports Council.
The winner of the championship will bag US$ 15,000 while first runner-up and second will receive US$ 10,000 and US$ 7,500.
