Nepal secures third straight win in practice match

Nepal secured third consecutive victories after defeating Sri Lanka Ports Authority Cricket Club by two wickets in the practice match held in Sri Lanka on Tuesday.

In the first inning, Sri Lanka Ports was all out for 200 runs in 45.5 overs as Sagar Pun grabbed four wickets while Prithu Baskota and Avinash Karn claimed two wickets each for Nepal.

Gayashan Weerasekara scored 34 runs, Gayan Maneeshan 28 runs and Mahela Udawatte 27 runs for Sri Lanka Ports.

In reply, Nepal scored 204 runs with the loss of eight wickets as Paras Khadka made 91 runs off 106 balls for victory. Khadka scored seven sixes and four fours. Khadka and Sharad Vesawkar together scored 128 runs.

Pradeep Airee contributed 24 runs off 35 balls for Nepal. Anuk De Alwis and Chanaka Komasaru took three wickets each for Sri Lanka Ports.

Now, Nepal will play against Bloomfield Sports Club in another practice match on Thursday.
