Players from Dhanusha alone win 14 medals in Karate in Mumbai

Players from Dhanusha district alone have been successful in winning twelve medals out of 14 medals won by Nepali players including seven golds in an International Karate Championship, held in Mumbai, India.

According to Nepal Kyokushin Budo Kai Karate, Dhanusha Branch, Nepali players won seven gold, two silver and five bronze medals in the championship.

Tika Prasad Yadav, Sumit Saha, Shivendra Kumar Yadav, Balageshwar Yadav, Ishwar Mehara and Ravi Kumar Yadav, and Sonil Mandal received gold in 85, 80, 55, 50, 45 and 40 kilogramme category, respectively.

Similarly, Manoj Kumar Yadav and Raju Kumar Yadav won silver medals while Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Bibek Kumar Yadav, Tulsiram Yadav, Mukesh Patel and Sushant Yadav secured one bronze each in the championship.
