Three Star holds Police to top the league’s chart as Machhindra climbs to third

Three Star Club (TSC) defeated Nepal Police Club (NPC) 2-1 to climb to the second spot of the ongoing Martyrs Memorial Red Bull A Division Football League held at Dasharath Stadium on Thursday.

Jagjeet Shrestha and Dodoz scored a goal each for Three Star to beat Police. Jumanu Rai scored a consolation goal for Police.

With the win, TSC accumulated 16 points behind Manang Marshyandi Club while Police is at the fourth position with 14 points after eight matches. Had NPC won the match, it would have jumped to the first spot today.

In another match of the day, Machhindra Football Club (MFC) thrashed Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) 1-0. Karna Limbu’s score in the 27th minute proved to be the match winning goal for MFC.

Machhindra also climbed to the third spot in the league’s table with 14 points in hand after playing nine matches. RCT is at the bottom of the table.
