Machhindra beats Nepal Police to move to 2nd spot in Super Six

Machhindra Football Club (MFC) has moved to the second spot of the ongoing Super Six under the Martyr's Memorial Red Bull A Division League.

Machhindra defeated Nepal Police Club (NPC) 2-1 in its 15th match held at Dasharath Stadium on Thursday.

Though Nepal Police had led the match through an early goal from Bharat Shah in the 11th minute MFC’s Ajay BK levelled the score in the 88th minute and Sushil KC netted a match winning goal in the injury time.

With the win, MFC has accumulated total 28 points, a point behind leader Manang Marshyandi Club (MMC). Machhindra had also defeated MMC 4-0 on Monday.

NPC is at the fourth spot with 26 points, two points behind Three Star Club (TSC) on goal difference.

Now, MMC and Sankata Club will take on each other in another match of the league on Friday.
