ANFA announces squad for AFC U-14 Girls Regional C’ship

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has announced 16-member National U-14 team for the AFC U-14 Girls Regional Championship scheduled to kick off in Sri Lanka from 20 March, 2014.

Meanwhile, ANFA also bade farewell to the squad amid a function in the capital Monday. The team is leaving for Colombo on Tuesday.

The team comprises of goalkeepers Angila Rai and Samjhana Basnet, while Puja Rai, Kausaliya Rai, Anussa Thebe, Anju Lopchan, Sushma Maharjan and Nisha Thokar are defenders.

Similarly, mid-fielders are Bhawana Mukhiya, Manisha Raut, Mithila Kuswar and Saru Limbu. Rekha Poudel, Alisha Jimba, Laxmi Lama and Samjhana Lawati are selected as forwards.

The team also includes coach Kumar Katwal and Sher Bahadur Darlami and Bhagwati Thapa is the manager of the team.

Nepal has been drawn alongside host Sri Lanka, Bhutan, India, Iran and Tajikistan. Nepal will take on Bhutan in its inaugural match on 20 March.
