Paras KhadkaNepal’s cricket caption Paras Khadka had replied to the officials of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) that the national cricket team can hold talks with the CAN only when there is an involvement of the Ministry of Sports and the National Sports Council.

Khadka said talks solely with the CAN officials will be meaningless, as it would yield no result.

On Sunday, Khadka replied through SMS to a CAN official, Chatur Bahadur Chand, deputed to hold dialogue with the agitated cricket players, that he would talk with them later.

The national cricket players are protesting against the CAN saying that the inept leadership of CAN has put Nepal’s whole cricket into jeopardy.

National players have not received salary for the past seven months, while organizing the domestic cricket tournament at the time of participating in an international tournament was untimely, they said.

Similarly, the players have not received match fee for playing several international matches, while the CAN has engulfed into massive financial irregularities, they added.
