Nepali National Cricket team has arrived home at around 11.30 a.m. after participating in the ACC Premier League 2014 in Malaysia on Thursday.
Speaking to media after their arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, captain Paras Khada said the team gave its best during the tournament. “Though we failed to lift up the title, we are happy that Nepal has qualified to the ACC Championship,” Khadka said.
As Nepal is qualified for the ACC Championship, Khadka expressed his hope that the two-day format match would be a good opportunity for the team to boost up with its capacity.
Khadka also praised the performance of Sompal Kami and Aarif Sheikh for their magnificent performance in the tournament. Kami was judged the best bowler of the tournament as he claimed 15 wickets in total.
Nepal won three matches against UAE, host Malaysia and Hong Kong in the league. However, it lost to Oman and Afghanistan.
