Jagdamba Giants has advanced to the final of the ongoing Ncell Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2014 on Thursday.
Jagdamba secured 47 runs victory over Sagarmatha Legends in the first semifinal match held at Covered Hall Ground in Kanchanpur.
The match was called off at 42.5 overs in the second inning of Sagarmatha Legends due to bad light. As per the D/L method, Jagdamba Giants won the match by 47 runs.
Sagarmatha was restricted to 136 runs with the loss of nine wickets in 42.5 overs as Shakti Gauchan and Shuvankar Sanyasi claimed three wickets each and Nizamuddin Ansari two wickets.
Rupesh Shrivastav scored 47 runs and Chandra Sawad addeed 41 runs for Sagarmatha. However, the contribution went in vain after losing the match.
In the first inning, Jagdamba posted a target of 193 runs with the loss of eight wickets in allotted 50 overs. Bhupendra Thapa made a half-century scoring 57 runs, Shakti Gauchan scored 44 runs and Naresh Budhayer 32 runs.
Rahul BK, Nishchal Pandey and Mehboob Alam grabbed two wickets each for Sagarmatha.
