Nepal has lifted the title of the first International Karate Tournament with 21 gold medals that concluded in the capital on Saturday.
Similarly, India finished second with 4 gold medals and Sri Lanka won a gold medal to secure third place in the Tournament.
Likewise, Nepal’s Rohit Budhathoki and Barsha Magar were adjudged best players in men’s and women’s categories, respectively. India’s Saurav Pratap Singh and Nepal’s Beli Lama were also announced rising players.
Altogether 445 players from four South Asian nations including host Nepal, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka had competed for 25 gold medals, said organiser Nepal Sitorio Karate Association, Samakhushi Branch.
