U-16 Nat’l team to play friendly matches with foreign teams prior to AFC U-16 C’ship

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has set friendly matches for U-16 National Team with different foreign teams along with trainings prior to AFC U-16 Championship scheduled for September in Thailand.

As per the plan, the U-16 National Team will play friendly matches and hold training in South Korea from July 7 to 18, Qatar from July 22 to 31, Belgium from August 1 to 15 and host Thailand from August 20 until the inaugural of the tournament.

The event is also planned focusing FIFA U-17 World Cup to be held in Chilly next year, said ANFA in a statement.
Nepali team had qualified to the AFC U-16 Championship as the Group 'C' winner held in Kathmandu last year.

Nepal had defeated Bahrain 2-0, Turkmenistan 4-0 and played 2-2 draw against Iraq to advance to the next round.
