The shutdown strike enforced by CPN-Maoist has brought vehicular movement into grinding halt in the mountainous districts in Far-western region on Friday.
The transport service has been completely shut in the mountainous districts including Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Darchula, Doti, Achham and Bajura. However, light vehicles and motorbikes used for the election purpose are seen plying on the road.
CPN-Maoist has enforced shutdown demanding the release of its cadres arrested while protesting and disrupting processes of the November election.
The party has also called for a bandh in Gorkha today targeting the election campaign of UCPN (M) leaders.
