10 killed, several injured in stampede at temple in Central India

Ten people are feared killed and many have been injured in a stampede Monday morning at a temple in Satna district of central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, local media reported.

The stampede happened at about 6 a.m. as devotees thronged the Kamtanath temple in Chitrakoot of Satna district on the occasion of Hinduism festival Somvati Amavasya.

The killed are 10 pilgrims, including five women. MUMBAI, Aug. 25 (Xinhua)
