There is nothing wrong about the protest if it is being carried out in order to defend the political achievements made so far. But if is aimed only at rising to power this is not a good step.

All the political parties should correct their mistakes. I cannot call the Maoist protest entirely wrong, but there is no alternative to the parties coming together.
Manoj Kumar Khadka, lawyer

The protest announced by the Maoists has made it difficult for people carry out their works in a normal way. It is beyond my understanding why they have launched the protests. They should stop this.
Marurala Karki, daily wage earner

The Maoist agitation can be viewed in positive light because the current government has not been able to do anything for the people. The agitation has enthused hope for something better for the people.
Hari Achami, worker

The Maoists are carrying out this agitation only for power. If they really cared about the people they would have done something when they were in the government.
Govind Niraula, student

The Maoists should try to reach consensus with other parties rather than waging protests. Other parties, too, should show moral example by allowing the Unified CPN (Maoist) to the head the government as it is the largest party in the Constituent Assembly.

the maoist thrive on peoples misery and hardship. They are the main reason that
the commoner are suffering. with all the bandhs and destabilization tactics that
they are employing, the price for food, fuel and essentials are going to
increase and business's are going to close resulting in layoff of workers hence
the alarming rise of unemployment and crime then they prey on the same people
for their support pointing fingers at the small number of prominent businessmen.

It was very essential to bring the country back in the track of democracy,
otherwise people would not know that NC and UML were plotting to go under
President's rule with Indian supremacy, There what Maoist's have done is an
excellent job. They are the only patriots working for the poor people. Keep it
up!

If democracy has established in Nepal, where is freedom to discduss about the
president? CDonsutional embly has decided to kick king out which was discussed
in parliament. Why MP's can not discuss about such a great issue in parliament?
Where is democracy?

I am a common Nepalese Student who wants peace, prosperity and unity in Nepal as
all other does. Though i am a lay man to politics and i don't know the theories
of politics too, but as a semi educated citizen of the country i can understand
that the politics which are being played in Nepal is probably the worst one. I
am ashamed because of this i think same should be felt by our politicians too.

Viewing the scenario of next revolution announced by UCPN Maoists one
question arose on my mind,"was blood sheet of 14000 Nepalese was less that
they are prepared for another one, 12 freezing years were not enough".
Please do not hinder the aspirations of martyrs, for which they gave their
blood.
I its now or never. We have enough time to make the nation
but we have no time to loose.

Nepali citizens are confused and bored by the behaviour of top leading
politicians. They do not have a single rupee of ethics, honest.
Well I am
thinking , They want bullet in their forehead like mahatmagandhi, indiragandhi.
After that they went in a rightpath.

This is most compulsary for now. that kathaputali government couldn't do
