The Employment Permit System (EPS) has provided a momentum to the trend of hiring Nepali workers in South Korea in September as the country’s manufacturing sector gradually came out of the global economic crisis, according to media reports.

In order to cope up with financial turmoil, South Korea had decided to stop recruitment for its manufacturing sector from June 10 to July 30 this year.

South Korea is said to have issued visas for 135 workers - 124 men and 11 women - till Friday and majority of them has been reabsorbed in manufacturing firms.

The prevailing rate of hiring human resources in manufacturing sector is at par with last December, it is said.

Twenty-nine Nepali migrant workers, including two women, landed in South Korea on September 7. In a linear fashion, two new batches of Nepalis workers are slated to fly to Seoul on September 14 and September 21.

A group of 37 Nepalis are also preparing to reach South Korea on September 14. These workers, including three women, will work in 18 different manufacturing companies apart from agriculture and fishery firms.

On September 21, another group of 69 migrant workers, including six women, will head towards South Korea.

Generally, the earnings of EPS workers range from $970 to $1,000 per month.

The level of income which Nepalis earn in South Korea, is five times more than in other major destinations like Malaysia and Gulf.

Of the total of around 7,500 Nepalis currently working in South Korea, 3,000 went through EPS. It is estimated that Nepal is receiving Rs 2 billion per year as remittance from South Korea. nepalnews.com

Hey Anonymous,

If i become the priminister of Nepal, I will provide all
pedestrain with ear plugs.

In most of the countries, the pedestrain are given
priority. For example, the vehicles must stop if they see the pedestrain are
crossing roads. But opposite happens in Nepal.

It is a feudal system where,
people having money or having luxurious item gets priority.

The traffic police
department should come with solution in such wild horn making procedure.

Horn bajaunu ra high speed ma jokhim purn gati ma gadi haknu samanya lagdo ho
(
you may find horn and reckless drive normal) . karan yo ta hamro culture
bhai
sakeko chha. This is wrong. The high pitch horn is terrorising on the
roads and
on the gulleys. This practice should not have been allowed. Once you
allow horn
the drivers have temptation to drive fast, because they ume people
should clear
away from their way with his horn. When drivng fast your engine
won't be
predictable in terms of contrlling when needed. This is the main
reasons why
there are so many fatal accidents and deaths. Please help dear
brothers and
sisters. Most of you have a human heart and mind
