Senior Nepali Congress (NC) leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed serious concern over the flagging economy of the country, warning that if the trend continues the country may soon face an economic crisis.

Speaking at a program organized by local entrepreneurs and businessmen in his hometown Dadeldhura on Monday, Deuba said the possibility of the nation facing economic crisis has increased as the businesses and industries in the country are collapsing due to deteriorating political situation of the country.

He said increase in extortion, donation drives and strikes is discouraging potential investors to start new ventures in the country and contributing to the downfall of the businesses and industries here. A strong critic of the Maoists, Deuba accused the former rebels of being responsible for this sorry state of affairs.

The former prime minister further said that the Maoists are trying to usurp power by destroying the country's economy through their violent acts and said all need to stand up to foil this plan of the Maoists. Nepalnews.com

Rather tried to fill the pockets of all most all minister's whilst on government. If Nepal Congress is given opportunity again in the government the country will face another huge Jana Andolan.
