The government has directed all four security agencies to stay on high alert in the wake of nationwide protests launched by the Unified CPN (Maoist).

A marathon meeting of the Council of Ministers held in Singha Durbar Tuesday afternoon arrived at the decision to put the security mechanisms on high alert.

Chief of Army Staff Chhattraman Singh Gurung, Inspector General of Armed Police Force (APF) Sanat Kumar Basnet, Inspector General of Nepal Police Ramesh Chand Thakuri and National Investigation Department (NID) chief Ashok Dev Bhatta were also invited at the cabinet meeting.

At the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, the security chiefs were asked to take necessary measures to control any critical situation during the Maoist protests, it is learnt.

Meanwhile, communication minister and government spokesperson Shankar Pokharel, who left the meeting early, told reporters that the government had concluded that the Maoists were violating the peace accord. He added that the government would be forced to deploy army if the Maoist protests took a violent turn.

The Maoists declared nationwide protest movement beginning November 1 as part of their campaign to restore 'civilian supremacy'. The Maoist party has announced plans to picket Singha Durbar with a crowd of 100 thousand people and choke the capital valley by enforcing a blockade, among others. nepalnews.com

India is building grounds to derail the peace process in Nepal. Nepal has been
held hostage by this India for a long time. They are calling the politicians to
Delhi one by one and bribing them. Anything India sees Pro Nepal is Anti Indian.
Like they did to Gyanendra, they are working to do the same to Maoists. BEcause
they saw both as pro Nepali.

I am a commoner Nepali. And also not the
supporter of Maoists. Nepali hami aphai sachet bhayena bhane dhoti le khelai
rahanchha. Wake up

Makune / Oli & Co, When will you realize that Nepalese people do not trust you
and want to see you go from the government. The sooner you realize, the better
for the nation You are talking like Gyanendra and following his footsteps. The
military & police have become your dear friends & people have become your enemy.

You are talking the language of Mandeles & their advice has become “Gayatri
Mantra for you. It is pity that you have lost faith on people & want to punish
them for defeating you in the election. Keep in mind you guys are actually
committing political suicide.
It is high time that you guys show your greatness
by exiting from the government at the earliest. This will pave the way for new
understanding among your kind & save the nation from further bloodshed &
turmoil.

country is in search of a people like that. Do you have the courage to do that?
If you dont have the courage to do that, then do not even point out for the

Politics is also a game,so in game only one side could be declared as winner not
the both the parties participated.So
,communist versus democracy has been the
parties of game that's why there is a must to win one of two.If this should not
be taken as a game for fun the blunder mistake done in Delhi signing on 12
points Pact must not be held.Jay Nepal !

its maoist's bad step and govt. should take harsh measure as far as possible to
control them terror. The most appropriate one will be the action taken by
srilankan army to the tamils. Na rahanchha bas na bajhchha basuri..

However humourous your joke regarding Timbuktoo is on a serious note a split in
the country would open pandoras box to ethnic cleansing, war and many years of
instability, famine and unrest.
