Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has urged the agitating Maoists to withdraw all their protests and sit for talks to solve the political deadlock stating that demonstrations and protests are not the proper means to find solution.
Reminding about the past instances of unity among political forces that helped end monarchy and hold historical elections for the constituent assembly, Prime Minister Nepal said consensus and unity is the only way out for any problems.

He said the government is very much concerned and serious to finalise the future of Maoist combatants before promulgating the new constitution.
PM also stressed on the vital role the media can play for positive political Developments. Appreciating media activism in favour of transparency and right to information, PM Nepal said he has instructed all government offices to maintain a media officer and provide information to the people coming to inquiring at the earliest possible.
He further said right to information has been hindered by non-state parties, during insurgency and the post insurgency period.
On the occasion, PM Nepal handed over Hem-Sunil Journalism Award to Madan Acharya and Tek Bahadur Khadka. NTV established the award in memory of its two staff Hem Bhandari and Sunil Kumar Singh, who were killed in air crash in Ghunsa. nepalnews.com
