Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal said the government is committed to improve the security situation in the country.
"There is no meaning staying in the government if the government fails to maintain peace and security," Nepal said addressing party cadres in in Koteshwor, Kathmandu, Saturday.
Mentioning that the police authorities have been instructed not to let off criminals under any pretext or political pressure, PM Nepal urged the political parties and others not to give protection to criminal elements.
He said the government was seriously concerned over increasing cases of abductions, murder and theft in recent months.
After becoming Prime Minister, Nepal has frequently visited Kathmandu constituency-2 in Kathmandu and Rautahat-6 from where he had lost the CA election. nepalnews.com
