Bhutanese Minister for Economic Affairs Lyonpo Khandu Wangchuk meets Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar, Wednesday morning, Feb 10 10.
Bhutanese Minister for Economic Affairs Lyonpo Khandu Wangchuk has extended invitation of Bhutanese Prime Minister Jigme Yoser Thinley to Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal for the 16th Summit of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) to be held in Thimpu from April 28 – 29, Wednesday.

Wangchuk handed over the Bhutanese PM’s invitation at a meeting with PM Nepal at the latter’s residence in Baluwatar this morning.

The up coming SAARC summit is going to be held in Thimpu, Bhutan after Maldives refused to organize the summit citing impacts of global recession. This is the first time Bhutan is hosting a SAARC summit after it was established in 1985.

At the meeting with PM Nepal, Bhutanese minister Wangchuk informed PM Nepal the main agenda of the 16th SAARC Summit would be issues related to the climate change and that Bhutan had expected utmost cooperation from Nepal towards this.

PM Nepal urged Wangchuk to take back the Bhutanese refugees as third-party settlements alone would not solve the problem. PM Nepal also pointed out at the increasing suicidal trend among Bhutanese refugees settled in third countries.

In response, Wangchuk told PM Nepal, he would convey the message to the Bhutanese Prime Minister.

Minister Wangchuk, who is also a former PM of Bhutan, arrived in Kathmandu as a special representative of the Bhutanese Prime Minister, Tuesday. nepalnews.com

We people(Nepali)never believe in each other and those to be believed never
respected others. The no. one weakness of all Nepalese is believing in
foreigners and not in fellow people. We can see the fate of all Nepalese around
the world.
Our forefathers were very courageous, so no British could rule
Nepal. Our people showed unbeleivable courage in World Wars, so world respected
them.
But now we have forgotten them and we have started fighting with each
other, blaming each other, instead of working together. As saying goes "A
lazy worker quarrel with his tools", we do the same thing.
Please,do not
run after others, let others runs after us.
If we now want to be respected and
be strong in front of the world, we must stopping these dirty games of blaming
others. Respect others if you want to be respected. Stand above politics and
castesism, these are the slow poison that kills people unknowingly.Keep politics
confi...

Bhutan and Nepal are 2 Himalayan brothers. About 25% of BHutan's population are
of ethnic Nepalis even now. They are the genuine citizens of Bhutan and are
regarded as such. They may be found in every segment of Bhutanese society
including in the hieghest rungs of the civil service, including in the aremed
forces, biggest business houses, the international agencies...everywhere! In
fact out of 10 Ministers, 2 are of Nepali origin. The only people BHutan asked
to leave were illegal immigrants...and this would have been done by any
self-respecting country and this would have happened even if the people were
white, black, brown or yellow and whether they came from the US, UK or India.
Otherwise, there's nothing but goodwill and friendship for our Nepali brothers.

Mr limbu is a complete insane who doesnt like to c the existance of other castes
other than himself. A person who cannot tolerate other castes in Nepal is a
traitor. He is a a poisonous serpent who finally will get killed by its own ego.
He well knows that Bahuns are also the people of Nepal....But I doubt his
nationality.

Madhavji, you are not able to settle your own problems, why do you take burden
of Bhutanese Refugees? You didn't take any step nor you were able to tackle
refugee issue for the last 17 years, what can you do now when your own country
is facing different types of political and social problems. This Bhutanese FM
is an Indian Government's PUPPET, so what can he do? He is a postman only, so
don't waste your time talking about refugees to this puppet.
Mr Ram Tamang   |86.169.73.xxx |2010-02-11 04:24:01
We need to resolve the issues of Bhutanese refugees currently poured into Nepal.
Madav Nepal government must come up with some sort of solutions to the problems
without making any delays before the SARRC Summit and present the
problems/solutions to the group.

Mr Limbu I donot know where do you get the all the rightousness to support
bhutanese unless you are their slave. These ers have kicked out our fellow
Nepali brothers and you dumb is stuck with Bahuns, Bhote, etc.

You must
either be a kid or a stupid man why else would you support some country where
India designs its foreign policy. I guess Mr Limbu also loves his Indian
masters.

NO matter what cast you are or any Nepali is we should see them as
Nepali first and support each other when we are mistreated by others. That's
Nepali brotherhood and whatever you are saying is Bhutanese Slavehood. I think
you know where you belong
Mr Limbu   |86.169.73.xxx |2010-02-11 02:21:03
This Tunghamphe, fake individual have commented on so called baseless and
meaningless with regards to the visit of Bhutanese Minister. What you need to
know is, we do not want to see the diseases that have been spread-ed all over
the Nepal by Bahuns to Bhutan. There will be another political turmoil if the
Bhutanese authority let them enter into their territory. Nepal has suffered a
lot since these useless bunch of individuals have been taking over the posts of
government departments.

So be careful anyway and it is better to be careful now
than being too late.

You fake tunghamphe - go to hell now and don't even think
of a comfort urself since you are a son of beach.

Raj Shrestha  - Boycott Bhutan   |115.131.5.xxx |2010-02-11 01:46:01
We nepalese have no shame. Fellow nepali speaking brothers/sisters are treated
like dogs and we accord so much respect to this indian slaves called Bhutan. We
should not go to Bhutan. We should give the nepali refugees Nepal ID. Nepal
should be the place for all nepali speaking people in the world. With this unity
only we can prosper. We should boycott anything Bhutan.
