Six more infected with swine flu

Six more persons have been found infected with Pandemic Influenza A (H1N1), swine flu, in Nepal till Sunday, health ministry said.

All six came from foreign countries to Nepal. Two of them returned from Dubai, two from the UK and one each from Qatar and Malaysia.

Among those infected are a 26-year-old woman of Chitwan and a 36-year-old woman from Kathmandu, who returned from Dubai; a 49-year-old man and a 12-year-old child of Lalitpur, who returned from the UK; a 28-year-old woman of Kathmandu, who returned from Qatar and a 30-year-old man of Dhanusha, according to the ministry.

They were found to have been infected with the flu during the screening test at Tribhuvan International Airport on their return from foreign countries.

Three of them have fully recovered, while three others are undergoing treatment in isolation.

With this, the total number of swine flu cases in Nepal has reached 28. nepalnews.com
