Biren Pradhan, Merina Shakya presented to court; public attempt attack

Police have presented the main accused in the Khyati murder case Biren Pradhan and his accomplice Merina Shakya to court, Sunday.

Kathmandu district court extended their detention by ten days. Both Pradhan and Shakya have already confessed their crime to police.

Meanwhile, public tried to attack Pradhan and Shakya as they were being escorted out of the court. Some people waited outside the court and attacked Pradhan and Shakya when they were being brought out of the court.

There was brief tug of war between the police and the people before the police took them away. Shakya has suffered minor head injury.

Pradhan and Shakya were arrested June 20 from Kathmandu on charges of abduction and murder of Khyati Shrestha, a nineteen-year-old higher secondary student.  nepalnews.com

The news about police acting against criminals, drug dealers and abductors is a
good news. We should appreciate such effort despite criminalization of politics
by the 'so called' leaders. Lets hope that this will continue and that the
criminals are not let loose again under political pressure, under the table
deals or other such pretexts.
We can only hope that the efforts are sincere and
that we can give a big hand to the good deeds of security personnel.

The Law of Nepal should be made such that no Biren and Merina dare to make such
crimes in future. They should be the first criminals with death penalty in
Nepal.

let the ball of Biren be cut off and there spray the mixture of salt and chilles
in every minute and in every second..i think it will be great punishment which
he deserves.
but merina,what does she deserves then...guess what.she is a
little girl of only age 17.She comes under child age.only has to see what court
decides to her....

Mr. Pradhan and Ms. Shakya,both represents the alive demon of this centuary.
So,the punishment which court will decide to face them won't be satisficatory to
public. These two demons are the black spot in plain white paper. Even killing
them will be low punishment so these demons should be killed in every minutes.

Khyati Shrestha,a cute little girl who just seems like my sister. May be her
soul will rest in the most beautiful and peace in heaven..

I am very much sorry for my country judging system because why Police need to
take those killers to court as they have already confessed to their brutal
crime.
