Students of Pokhara Nursing Campus in Pokhara have applied soot on the face of former campus chief and assistant-professor over what they called a disgraceful remark allegedly made by the latter about the students.
The students of the campus affiliated with Tribhuvan University Institute of Medicine had "blackened" the face of professor Lal Kumari Gurung on Monday saying that she made a public remark that has "tainted the image of the campus and the whole nursing sector", according to media-reports.
Pokhara Hotline, a daily newspaper published from Pokhara, had in its Sunday's edition published a front-page news on the basis of Gurung's interview published by a monthly magazine from Kathmandu.
In the news item, Gurung has been quoted as saying that Pokhara Nursing Campus has become a hotspot for prostitution and other indecent behavior.
The nursing students had also organized a demonstration in front of the office of Pokhara Hotline on Monday protesting against the defamation of the campus as a hotspot for prostitution.
Earlier, the students had also misbehaved with journalists who had reached the campus for reporting. Nepalnews.com
