Two minors swept by floods in farwest

Two minors of Mahendranagar have been swept away by Mahakali and Bhasi rivers Friday afternoon.

Sanju Chand, 12, of Brahmadev was washed away by Mahakali river and Ramesh Chand, 14, of Bagphata was washed away by local Bhasi Khola, flooded due to incessant rains since Thursday.

The minors are still missing till the time this report was filed. Locals and security personnel are involved in searching for them.

Meanwhile, the dam constructed near Brahmadev for Tanakpur Hydropower project is being breached by the floods in Mahakali river. The Indian side has started repairing the damn on its side from Thursday. nepalnews.com
