In the property details, PM Nepal had mentioned his spouse Gayatri Nepal had a promoter share of Rs 270,000 in People's Bank.
However, the list of promoters submitted by the People's Bank to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) does not include Gayatri Nepal's name, Nagarik daily reported.
A new promoter cannot be added now, and the list of existing promoters doesn't include the name given by the Prime Minister, the daily has reported quoting an anonymous source at NRB.
However, the PM's press advisor Bishnu Rijal refuted the report saying the report itself was false and prejudiced.
Why would it (ownership of promoters' share) be mentioned in the property details had it not been there, Rijal told Nepalnews.
The PM's spouse Gayatri Nepal is a former employee of Nepal Banijya Bank. She took a voluntary retirement recently after Nepal became the Prime Minister. nepalnews.com
