Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal is mulling starting air ambulance service in the country to support people mostly in remote areas where other forms of transportation is not available or takes long time for rescue operations to reach.
Talking to a medical group at his official residence in Baluwatar on Friday morning, PM Nepal said air ambulance would become a boon to those failing to receive health treatment in the countryside.
He expressed hope that the international community would lend support to his idea, which he said would save those fighting for their lives in remote villages.
A delegation of Food For Health, an NGOs working on health issues, had reached Baluwatar to honour Nepal for his effort to save life of a pregnant woman from Rukkum on Wednesday.
Nepal said the government is serious towards the tragedy patients face in remote villages. nepalnews.com
