CPN (UML) has formed a committee headed by standing committee member Bharat Mohan Adhikari to hold talks with parties to resolve the current political deadlock.
A meeting of the standing committee held at party headquarters Balkhu on Wednesday formed the seven-member committee. The committee members are - Yubaraj Gyawali, Pradip Gyawali, Ram Chandra Jha, Keshab Badal, Urmila Aryal and Parasuram Meghi Gurung.
Likewise, vice-chairman Bam Dev Gautam has been given the responsibility to settle the dispute in some UML district committees. The standing committee also approved the decision of the party's Valley Coordination Committee to dissolve the Kathmandu distinct committee headed by Rameshwor Phuyal.
Earlier, the K.P Oli faction had raised strong objection to the decision to dissolve the Kathmandu district committee, describing it as dictatorship of the party leadership.
Meanwhile, UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal is scheduled leave for Kazakhstan this evening to participate in a conference of Asian political parties. nepalnews.com
