Crossfire leaves four injured in Rautahat

At least four policemen have been injured in crossfire between police and unknown armed group in Shivanagar of Rautahat district Monday night.

The exchange of fire began at around 2 am after unidentified armed men attacked the police team deployed to provide security for a cultural function held in the area.

The injured policemen include Deputy Superintendent of Police Nageshwor Yadav and head constable Lal Bahadur Yadav. The injured are undergoing treatment at the local clinic.

The armed men had fired three rounds at the police team. More police personnel have been deployed in the area for search operation. nepalnews.com
