Unified CPN (Maoist) general secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa has said a solution to the current deadlock will come out of talks between main three parties soon after Tihar festival.

According to Thapa, three-party negotiations are moving towards positive direction and that a breakthrough will be reached after Maoist  Pushpa Kamal Dahal returns from China on Sunday (Oct 18).

The Maoist general secretary said this while speaking at a press meet organised by the pro-Maoist Revolutionary Journalists Association in Itahari, Sunsari, on Saturday.

Accusing Nepali Congress and UML not being ready to resolve the stalemate, the Maoist leader said his party would launch a strong street protest if the President’s move is not rectified.

He also made it clear that the U-CPNM had not given up its demand that the President’s move be debated in the parliament. nepalnews.com

I in my heart agree with Pratibha didi's comments. What, Prachanda, Baburam and
Ram Bahadur thought that they were just dismissing an office Peon when they
sacked General Katawal? See, ultimately they themselves got sacked from their
posts. Bad luck for Maoists isn't it? Poor guys now crying in the streets and in
Khullamanch, always crying. I feel very sad.

Good, Maoist General Secretary continue with your demand to debate the
President's "undemocratic" move in the parliament. However, also open up
to a debate on Prachanda's arbitrary sacking of the CoAS without seeking the
all party consensus as suggested by the President or even taking the decision
through a full Cabinet meeting. We should also have a public debate into the
Shaktikhor video expose and your Chairman's conspiracy of capturing state power
by force. On one side you Maoists talk of democratic practices, parliamentary
discussions and civilian supremecy, but on the other, you conspire, scheme,
threaten and propagate one-party authoritarian rule undermining the very essence
of "civilian supremacy" that you keep shouting about in the streets. We
can't understand nor accept your one-sided and warped logic, dear Comrade. I
think you guys need to see a psychopath badly.

Babu Prachanda come to Nepal and believe on the power of people and try to
crreate an environment of consensus. Nepalese people gave mandate to your party
to create consensus among different political forces of Nepal. You did not
really win the battle. You are oriented to.... You have to follow the mandate
given by the people not only by PLAs ......
