Maoist vice chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that his party is ready to end the obstruction in the parliament if the Nepali Congress and UML agree on any of the three options his party has floated.

Speaking during a Deusi programme organised by a group of journalists Sunday, Bhattarai said the deadlock would end quickly if the parties
agreed for a parliamentary debate on civilian supremacy or signed a joint resolution on the president's move. The third option, according to him, would be an apology from the President for his move in the army chief row.

Bhattarai also said the Maoist party would launch fresh protest movement if the two ruling parties, NC and UML, rejected these options.

To recall, the Maoist party had put similar conditions for resolving the current crisis during the three-party meetings, but the NC dismissed all of them.

However, the three parties formed a three-member committee to prepare a draft of consensus. The committee will get down to work immediately after Tihar festival. nepalnews.com

Leader shouldn't put their EGO first when it comes for development of a country.
Ask not what your country can do for you ask what you can do for your country.

It is not the time to bitting the bush but to work hard for nation building. So
all the Nepalese Politician should bear in that they go collectively without
concentrating on tiny differential anguishs and come across the table of
negotiations.

Prachanda comes back from China and talks about dialog being more important than
protest.

At the same time Bhattarai talks about protest protest protest.

Who to trust? The answer is none of them. They are splitting. It wont be
long until tey fall apart. Double talk, tripple talk, enough.

I in my heart fully agree with suggestion of Thule Subba to Dr. Baburam. But
Thule dai, both are greedy (lobhi) Bahuns. They will kill each other anyway, no?
Like Makune vs Khanal vs Oli or just look at the Nepali Congress too. All Bahuns
trying to kill each other for sake of power and money. Big fun to watch all this
while our country is burning. Who cares Thule dai?

Dr Baburam ji, I think you are only after power (ministers post). You have
already proved that you cannot do anything but to stay in the power and corrupt
as much as you can like previous party cadres and all politicians. However you
talk centiment of country, you have got only intension of earning money from
misusing political appointment. We have already seen your true and original
face. As long as you don't sideline Prachanda, your aim will not fulfill. So
your priority is to take away your immidiate (internal) enemy Prachanda. Then
you can achieve your aim. I know you have same thought where possible but
remember Prachanda is very clever and powerful now. Wish you good luck

I share the view of Nepali civilian. But what if the speaker doers not allow the
discussion to take place on tyhe resolution!the problem is that we are failing
all our insutions. democracy can not functiopn without insutions.

VP simply rejects SC order. Maoist obstruct parliamentary proceedings. NC
President pursuing his own agenda. MK Nepal made backdoor entry. President
thinks he is above elected government. NA is pitching his supermacy not obeying
the orders of elected government. Where is democracy and supermacy. The ego
and self centered politics is eating to all stake holders in the country and
common people are being roasted in the oven. This is democracy, we should be
ashamed. Those who do not work for the country and people have no right to be
the leaders of this country. People are fade up with bhasanbaji by leaders in
every nook and corner. Real leaders should be those like Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru
who led the country after independence and Mao after revolution and so on so.
Our leaders are most corrupt, impotent, short sighted, senseless, unpatriotic
and chaplusi and feudal minded. Those who believe in democracy should work for
Nepali Civilian  - Where is my supremacy?   |76.214.48.xxx |2009-10-19 11:46:03
It is worth noting that the Maoists appear to be "fighting" for civilian
supremacy by obstructing the only current insution that was directly elected by
the Nepali people -- the consutional embly. So the real question is are the
Maoists really fighting for civilian supremacy or are their actions just to mage
their wounded egos?

If they are truly committed to civilian supremacy, why not
go through a real parliamentary procedure and debate it. If the other two
parties don't entertain the debate -- tough luck! That's how democracy is
supposed to work.

None ofthe three parties want a soluion of the present deadlock. I am surprised
that how much fond of these leaders are of talking , talkin and talking. Even
during the festivals they took out time and occion to talk politics . This is
sickening.
