Addressing a function at Koteshwor in Kathmandu, Prime Minister Nepal said street protests would not lead to any solution and that there is no alternative to a compromise to resolve the current stalemate.

Nepal also claimed that the current deadlock in the parliament is solely because of the Maoists and urged them to act responsibly, warning that the country might brace for political confrontation if the current situation prevailed.

The Prime Minister argued that the Maoists were not going to make any political gain by indefinitely obstructing the parliament and carrying out street protests. He added that the current coalition was ready to welcome the Maoists into the government. nepalnews.com

"Defeated in Election becomes Prime Minister of the Country like
Mamune"-This is the self urance Motto of Maoist Leader Prachanda.Without
understanding, many followers of Maoists repeat the same motto if it were to
abuse Madhav Kumar Nepal. But does really understands the existing econsitution?
What is written in it?Besides elected members, the political leaders or the govt
has the authority to nominae its person as CA member in parliament & they
become CA members like elected one. Following the sameway, Prachanda, the then
Prm of Nepal nominated Madhav Kumar Nepal as CA Member & by consensus of
majority party he as a member of parliment too became the PM. Then why on any
issue these Maoist cadres takes Makune as defeated person. He was nominated by
the Authorities as good as elected one.
Don't try to make hue & cry like
"Hauwa Goru(Maoist out of govt) ko chheruwa dau".

are soon going to be over simply because of hyperinflation and ineffective rule.
Bmali  - Why after Brahmins only????   |202.79.55.xxx |2009-10-25 04:41:48
I just viewed the comments in this column & I just wondered the view expressed
by some one about Brahmins. Why mostly the brahmins came top in Govt position. Do
you think they just fought the war and snatched the big position like Prime
Minster or other prominent positions? If you go back to 2046 BS the great leader
Ganesh Man Singh did not accept the position and gave it to Krishna P.Bhattarai.
After General election,Girija Prasad Koirala was elected PM, In the mid-term
poll Mana Mohan Adhikari won the election In the next poll agin K.Prasad won the
election.Even in the election for Consuent embly the brahmin Pushpa Kamal
Dahal(Pradhanda)won the election and held PM position. By consensus of all
majority party, Makune is PM now. Now you should accept that they were all
elected by the people and did not come by snatching power. In election, not only
the brahmins , candidates from all castes contested the election & had equal

Please everybody;s children is exactly like your,s.Weapons doesn,t bring peace
at the same time corruption doesn,t help it,s people nation and it,s sovergnity.
I think every party should come together and fight against corruption.
Corruption is a deadly virus in nepal like worse than Hiv. Remember lots of
people in parliment they used to it.Make a independent source which doesn,t link
to anyone.Make sure have such a power so they can investigate anyone.Let,s just
stop corroption.
Anonymous  - What compromise makune is talking about.   |60.242.225.xxx |2009-10-25 02:42:34
What Makune has to be honest about is he is doing bad compromise with Indians.
He has to be clear about his compromise what he really means. If UML is the
right choice to lead the government, all the losers of the Oli faction has to be
out of ministry and possibly Khanal is the better choice. Makune has to resign
because he does not deserve to be PM. People like Kujata needs to be dumped out
of politics. Everybody has to try hard to establish law and order. All corrupt
politicians, jounalists or public servant needs to punished when they are found
guilty. Justice system has to be improved and politicians must stop interring.
Maoists must align with public interest than to bark their extreme ideology. NC
corrupts must step down from current leadership role and the young (currently
coward and cronies) has to come out of Girija company and show some respect for
people. Kick out sood out of Nepal and there has to be some memorandum ...

Mr. PM, please don’t show any sweet words to Maoist since your government has
failed to tackle the problem. You are always saying same thing to everywhere
only to save your chair. If you are really broad minded person even of loser PM,
just allow the issues raised by Maoist to debate in the parliament and prove it
that the president's step was really consutional and then PM's was
unconsutional. Do you have dare to do so? NO No No because you are not perfect
PM, you are PUPPET PM Mr. Madhav K. Nepal!!!!!!!!!!

Dirgha Raj Prasai  - Who can control raitors leaders ?   |116.90.224.xxx |2009-10-24 23:40:22
Dear editor,
The reality is that-'A dog’s tail in a barrel always crooked'.
The culprit leaders never join the hands for peacefull aggriment.
Dear editor !

Since the country was declared a republic, this country has been disturbing.
Nepalese people feel shame, disgusted, betrayed, deceived in the name of
so-called Loktantra. The traitors who are in regime are fighting like the cats
and dogs for power and money. They are not responsible about anarchism where is
visible in every corner of Nepal. We know, the great traitors are Girija,
Krishna Sitoula, Madhab nepal, Jhalanath, Bamdev, Prachanda , Baburam Bhattarai.
You know-history has proved that all the Bahun leaders of this country are not
loyal towards Nepal. Trefoil politics has proved that all the Bahun leaders of
so called three big parties are crazy for power. The vulnerable situation of the
country, lawlessness, skyrocketing prices and deterioting economic conditions...
